It is a tie this week between the best of the rest, this was one of those strange weeks where there were no stinkers. Out of nineteen books fourteen of them are on the hot list and five are honorable mentions...the jury is out and this is a very good week for the material I picked up. First off New Mutants #38, DnA finally comes through with a issue of NM that lives up to issues from volume one. I knew they could pull off a book as enjoyable and true as the team when it first went one hundred issues strong before becoming X-Force. Everything rang true with this issue and the last issue was not too shabby either with Memphisto showing up for a date with Magma. Bird Brian from the classic series pops up in this issue when they travel to Paradise Island. Leandro Fernandez's style fits this title so good and I enjoyed this book from cover to cover.
Next up is in my opinion one of the best written and drawn titles in the X-family at the present time, This title has taken the top reigns four of the six issues released so far and has never left the hot list since its inception. Jason Aaron is at the top of his game and between Bachalo & Bradshaw the art has been everything as advertised. On top of that there is a mini-series for WATXM, Alpha & Omega...It is worth a look at and also as well put together as this winner.
Also Hot:
**Runner-Up** Cobra #10 Cobra Command Part 6 (IDW Publishing) Mike Costa Writer/Alex Cal Art **First G.I. Joe related title that I have read this year that has not been written by Chuck Dixon (Not including Larry Hama's A Real American Hero! run) And I report that Costa follows right along where Dixon left off last Joe title. Alex Cal is nothing short of amazing on this title, this is what comic books should be.
Star Wars Dark Times #4 of 5 Out of the Wilderness (Dark Horse) Randy Stradley Writer/Douglas Wheatley Art **Another masterpiece from Stradley & Wheatley, one of the best Star Wars series put out ever from DH**
Aquaman #6 (D.C. Comics) Geoff Johns Writer/Ivan Reis Pencils/Joe Prado Inks **May not of made the top spot this week but this book is still going strong on this relaunched title**
Batman The Dark Knight #6 (D.C. Comics) Paul Jenkins Writer/David Finch Pencils/Richard Friend Inks *Enjoying Finch's take on Batman, story is pretty solid. Much better than when he was doing it before the New 52*
Teen Titans #6 (D.C. Comics) Scott Lobdell Writer/Brett Booth Pencils/Norm Rapmund Inks *I always seen Teen Titans books as the junior Justice League, They may be kids but they are truly bad ass thanks to this creative team*
Voodoo #6 (D.C. Comics) Joshua Williamson Writer/Sami Basri Art *I must say the former Wildstorm line now integrated into the DCU are awesome books and Voodoo is no exception, great art and story*
The Mighty Thor #11 Shattered Heroes (Marvel Comics) Matt Fraction Writer/Pasqual Ferry Art *As long as Fraction, Ferry & Coipel remain on this book it will remain god like in the comic industry*
Uncanny X-Force #22 (Marvel Comics) Rick Remender Writer/Greg Tocchini Art *I felt this title went off track for a short while, but Remender has righted this book right on back in the last few months and Tocchinis art keeps improving every issue*
X-Men #25 (Marvel Comics) Victor Gischler Writer/Jorge Molina Art *With 25 issues released this book is hands down the best issue in its short run to date*
X-Men Legacy #262 (Marvel Comics) Christos Gage Writer/David Baldeon Pencils/Mark Brooks Cover *Uncanny & X-Men have nothing on Legacy*
Morning Glories #16 (Image Comics) Nick Spencer Writer/Joe Eisma Art/Rodin Esquejo Cover *One of the most original titles on the market today, every issue is a whole new set of rules and twists*

Green Lantern: New Guardians #6 (D.C. Comics) Tony Bedard Writer/Tyler Kirkham Pencils/Batt Inks
The Savage Hawkman #6 (D.C. Comics) Tony S. Daniels & James Bonny Writers/Philip Tan Art *I have not really been feeling this title and Daniels has been doing an excellent job over on Detective with handling both the art and writing chores. I actually felt this story in this issue has picked up and got more involved, Good direction*
Prophet #22 (Image Comics) Brandon Graham & Simon Roy Writers/Simon Roy Art *I felt the first issue had a better flow to the story, but this is still a nice treat off of the beaten path*
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #7 (IDW Publishing) Kevin Eastman & Tom Waltz Writers/Dan Duncan Art *Another great Turtle adventure and the art is inspiring like the original B & W series by Eastman & Laird, Looking forward to seeing where this books goes in contrast to the original series*
