What a difference a week makes, Last week was a very good week with the books that I had in my possession. I can not say the same for this weeks crop of new books, but out of the darkness comes a few that stood out and were considered really nice material mixed in with a lot of others that just didn't have contention for the top spot this week. Vescell was the book that stood out the most this week so it gets the top honors. A book in its own right that goes against the super-hero stigmata that is placed on the industry as a whole. The story is out of this world and the art stands out and is at the caliber of work you see in Heavy Metal magazine. Happy this is one of the titles on my pull list.

*Runner-Up* The whole back up story was your average book put out by the big hitters, what got me was the back -up story with words by Geoff Johns and Art provided by the talented Carlos D'Anda. Can not wait for this storyline to begin, the first six issues were all over the place.
FF #6 (Marvel Comics) Jonathan Hickman Writer/Nick Dragotta Art *nice story accompanied by some nice pictures from Dragotta on his first issue of FF*
Star Trek #6 (IDW Publishing) Mike Johnson Writer/Joe Corroney Art *This series keeps living up to the greatness of the J.J. Abrams movie*
Voltron #3 (Dynamite Ent.) Brandon Thomas Writer/Ariel Padilla Art *One of the best takes on the Voltron universe that I have read to date*
Honorable Mention
Not much to say about the following titles except it leave room for improvement and each book was at least worth the price of admission but nothing more.
