Reviews!!!!

I am grateful people have come to check out reviews every week on the released titles. But it all comes to an end. This is the second time and there will not be a third time. I am turning all my time, which is limited because of a day job and a family which consists of a wife and two twin baby girls. I hope you stick around and if not I wish you the best on future endeavors.

Spell #2 is in the process of lettering and will be sent to the printer on 4/1/14, Spell #3 is already in the process of being penciled and inked. This is my true love and forever will be.

See you soon,

Comic Reviews for the Week of 3/5/14

Pick of the Week: Jupiter's Legacy #4 (Image Comics) Mark Millar Writer/Frank Quitely Art

This book would most likely take the top honors month after month. Problem is it only comes out every 3 plus months. Well that usually holds me back from giving the top honors to a book, but everything put into this book can not stop that level headedness. I hope in the future this book comes out on a better schedule, but look at the creators and if you have picked it up you know what I am talking about. This is basically the X-Men gone bad!!!!

Runner-Up: Wolverine and the X-Men #1 (Marvel Comics) Jason Latour Writer/Mahmud Asrar Art

I was kind of weary on the relaunch of this title, the first series was one of my favorite series for most of its run. Well Jason Aaron, your legacy is being followed up well by Latour and Bacahalo does not have to worry cause Asrar, not as good has the right stuff for this book. Cant wait to see where this creative team takes us!!!!

Comic Reviews for the Week of 2/26/14

Pick of the Week: Black Science #4 (Image Comics) Rick Remender Writer/Matteo Scalera & Dean White Art

I grew up listening to old time radio on the local radio station 95.5 FM WBAI on such shows as Golden Age of Radio, Mass Backwards and Hour of the Wolf all which at one time played old radio shows such as X-Minus One, The Shadow and so many other shows of yester-year. Other then Remender's Marvel/super hero work Black Science and Fear Agent remind me of this almost forgotten art form from a different time period. Here is the thing, his writing works today in the same way it would of over 70 years ago. The reason is he tells stories that are classics ad timeless, you take this and surround such a talent with great artists and you have a award winning comicbook writer in a nut shell!

Runner-Up: Guardians of the Galaxy #12 (Marvel Comics) Brian Michael Bendis Writer/Sara Pinchelli & Stuart Immonen Pencils

Yet again Guardians is one of the best books on the market month after month with Bendis writing and two of the brightest and upcoming stars in the business playing with there crayons...This is all that and a bag of bagel bits!!!

Also Hot: Batman Superman #8 (D.C. Comics), Superman #28 (D.C. Comics), Elephantmen #54 (Image Comics), Star Trek Khan #5 (IDW Publishing), Bloodshot and H.A.R.D. Corps: H.A.R.D. Corps #0 (Valiant Ent.), X-O Manowar #22 Unity Aftermath (Valiant Ent.)
