Comic Reviews for the Week of 2/5/14

Pick of the Week: Earth 2 #20 (D.C. Comics) Tom Taylor Writer/Barry Kitson & Robson Rocha Pencils/Barry Kitson & Oclair Albert Inks/Jae Lee Cover

Another month and another grab at the top spot, I am not even going to say anything. Reason for that is I have nothing more to say. This is D.C. Comics best monthly title on the racks for 21 months straight it has not wavered no matter who is on the creative side of things. Great idea leads to a great book month after month!!!

Runner-Up: Aphrodite IX #8 (Top Cow/Image) Matt Hawkins Writer/Stjepan Sejic Art

I have been feeling this more then the first run but out by Top Cow Image in the 90's with art by David Finch, really interesting story and deep Sci-Fi overtones to this gem.

Also Hot: Forever Evil #5 (D.C. Comics), Green Lantern/Red Lantern #28 Flip Book (D.C. Comics), G.I. Joe #13 (IDW Publishing), The Transformers More Than Meets the Eye #26 Dark Cybertron Chapter 8 (IDW Publishing)

Honorable Mention: The Star Wars #5 (Dark Horse Comics), Batman Detective Comics #28 Gothopia (D.C. Comics), New Avengers #14 (Marvel Comics), Revelations #2 of 6 (Boom Studios). Archer & Armstrong: Archer #0 (Valiant Ent.)

Not So Hot: X-Men #10 AKA #1 (Marvel Comics) Marvel stop wit the #1 bullshit...Nuff Said!, house of ideas my ass, more like lets see how many gimmicks we can push till the comic market collapses yet again., Wolverine #1 (Marvel Comics) The idea is pretty cool, just not feeling the story.,  Turok Dinosaur Hunter #1 (Dynamite/Gold Key) Not really feeling it, maybe it has been launched one too many times.
