Comic Reviews for the Week of 10/23/13

Pick of the Week: Savage Wolverine #10 (Marvel Comics) Jock Writer & Art

I was actually ready to drop this title after the eighth issue with Cho and Madueria's run on this book. For one I am not the biggest fan of Jock, well my mind has not only been changed with the first two issues of this story arc. It has been blown, one of the finest Wolverine stories in sometime.

Runner-Up: Star Trek #26 (IDW Publishing) Mike Johnson Writer/Erfan Fajar Art

IDW has truly taken this beloved Sci-Fi property and has does it justice since the first issue. The story and art have been top notch and what gets me going most of all is that they stay true to the new movies to the letter. While I wait for the third movie in the re-launch of Star Trek I know I can look forward to these books.

Also Hot: Justice League #24 Forever evil tie-in (D.C. Comics), Nova #9 Infinity tie-in (Marvel Comics), Superior Carnage #4 (Marvel Comics)

Honorable Mention: Star Wars Legacy #8 (Dark Horse Comics), Aquaman #24 (D.C. Comics), Wolverine and the X-Men #37 Battle of the Atom Chapter 9 (Marvel Comics), Transformers Regeneration One #95 (IDW Publishing), Harbinger #17 (Valiant Ent.)

Not So Much: Red Lanterns #24 Lights Out Pt. 4 (D.C. Comics), Superman #24 (D.C. Comics), Iron Man #17 (Marvel Comics) Save you hard earned money for more books next week and pass these 3 up!
